Crossroads Foster Care Initiative

More info about the Care Portal

CarePortal is an online platform that allows caseworkers from the Department of Child Services to enter the needs of families they are working with. Churches are empowered to meet those needs by providing the resources for these families. Some families are getting their children back after a foster care placement and others are trying to create healthy environments in their homes. The beds we will be providing will go towards children who wouldn’t otherwise have one. Thanks to your generosity at our Christmas Eve gatherings, over $14,000 will go towards this initiative to help families in our community.

5 Ways to Help Foster Families

Did you know 50% of foster families do not continue on after their first year or placement? Crossroads wants to come along side these incredible families to support and help them make a difference in the lives of vulnerable kids. Here are five ways you can get involved at Crossroads to help foster families thrive...

HELP WITH THE
JOURNEY BAGS
INITIATIVE

Did you know every week across the United States children enter foster care often with nothing but the clothes on their backs? We want to do something about that by making up quality Journey Bags filled with personal and comfort items for children to call their own. We want to bless them and show that they are loved, prayed for, and remembered!

CONSIDER BECOMING A
FOSTER PARENT

One of the greatest impacts you could make in our world is by choosing to foster children in need. Psalms 68:6 says, "He sets the lonely in families" and we cannot imagine a ministry more in line with the Lord's heart than through fostering a child. Prayerfully read through the following links to learn more about the requirements and responsibilities involved with becoming a Foster Parent.
