Who is Jesus?

There’s no shortage of opinions about Jesus.
Here’s some of what the Bible says about Jesus…
Jesus is fully man and fully God.
Colossians 2:9 - For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
There’s little debate among historians that Jesus was a real man who was born in first century Palestine. It’s his claims of divinity that create controversy. Jesus claimed to be God and his earliest followers believed him to be God. He is fully man and fully God. Jesus’ humanity makes him relatable - He knows exactly what you and I go through. Jesus’ divinity makes him reliable - He is the one we can turn to for help.
Jesus is our savior.
John 3:17 - For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Do you ever feel trapped by your failures and mistakes? We all fall short of our own standards let alone God’s. Jesus came to free us from the power of sin and death so that we might experience true and eternal life in Him.
Jesus is worth following.
John 8:12 - Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
In following Jesus we live in the fullness of who God created us to be. We can know Jesus and trust him to lead us as we follow his words guiding how we live our lives.
