Summer Lunches for Students Program
For the past several years, Indiana has participated in a program called SUN Bucks. This program provided $120 per child for food stamps to be spent during the summer months to help families fill their pantries while school is out. Unfortunately, Indiana missed the deadline to sign up for that program this year. In response to this, a few of our local nonprofit organizations and churches are coming together to try to help with food security this summer. Housing Authority and United Way are partnering to gather food and pack “Buddy Bags,” and area churches are taking ownership of a few different distribution sites.

Crossroads is going to handle the Bon Air Park distribution site. We will serve a hot meal and distribute food (“Buddy Bags”) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays starting June 4th, running through July 23rd. Help us live out the mission and middle name of our church this summer at Bon Air Park!TWO WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
