WHAT TO EXPECT AT EASTER
At Crossroads Downtown campus, your best bet is to use the free parking garage on the east side of the building. The easiest way to enter the building is to walk down the alley just to the South side of our building to get to our front door, which is on the square. Of course, if there is a spot on the square open, just park there!
At Crossroads South campus, follow the red signs and pull into one of our guest parking spots.
As you walk in at either campus, be sure to stop by the Welcome Center. The team there is eager to make your experience the best it can be. They can show you where you need to go and answer any questions you have. If you have younger kids (5 and under) with you for Easter, the Welcome Center team can help check them into our children’s ministry. Your family can grab a quick breakfast, some coffee, get your kids checked in, and then head into the main auditorium and find a seat.
Our Easter gathering will last about an hour. We start with a few songs before the speaker preaches, hear a message from the pastor, and finish with a song or two. If you're curious about our worship or preaching style, check out our watch section or catch a live gathering online.
We will also offer the opportunity to be baptized at the end of the service. Baptism is a way to declare that you have accepted Christ and want people to know that you plan to follow Him.
As you head out after our gathering, there will also be a photo booth area in our lobby environment where you can stop and grab a photo. Be sure to stop by First Steps, as well. We’d love to get to know you and we have a small gift to give you to say thanks for visiting!
We are all about meeting people where they are -- including kids! On Easter weekend, we offer settings for 5 and under in our Early Childhood wing. This is the best place for them to connect, play, and hear Bible stories. There is also a private nursing room as well as a separate cry room where you can sit with your little ones and still view the service.
Elementary kids and older are invited into the main room as the approach to Easter is more of a family style. Activity bags will be available for the elementary kids as you enter the main auditorium.
We take safety seriously so be sure to allow an extra 15 minutes to register your younger kids for "check-in" where we gather allergy and emergency contact info. You will be given a security receipt that matches their nametag for pickup after the gathering. Click here to save time and pre-register your kids.
To learn more about our programs outside of the Easter gathering, check out our ministries for kids 5th grade and under here, 6th-8th graders and 9th-12th graders. The elementary team is planning a Glow Party for Jesus on April 16, so we hope you will come back and check that out!
Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: married, divorced, single parent, broke, addicted, gay, transgender, atheist, skeptic, Patriots fan, etc.
Everyone is welcome at Crossroads & it is our hope to build a culture where no one feels out of place because of where they're at. So come as you are, and we’ll see you this weekend!
On April 7th, we will be having a Good Friday Experience from noon to 8 p.m. at our Downtown campus. This short self-guided interactive experience is designed to help you reflect on Jesus’ death and the significance of that event in our lives today.
For those who have previously done our Journey to the Cross encounter, be aware that this year’s event will be a little bit different. This experience will also take place during Downtown Kokomo’s First Friday event, so please pray for folks from our community to encounter Jesus in a brand new way.
We are looking for volunteers if you'd be interested in helping with this experience.
